COVID-19 Measures

Because of COVID-19 the way we do weddings is a little different this summer.

We will still be issuing Marriage Licenses and performing ceremonies.

Marriage Licenses will be booked in for an appointment.  Once your appointment has been booked, you will be sent an email with the questions that will be required for all the paperwork that will be filled out for you prior to to your arrival.  Deadline for your answers will be included in your email.

Only two people may be present during the time of your appointment, no guests or children.  All members will be REQUIRED to wear masks to your appointment.  Hand Sanitizer is provided as well.  No individuals who have been outside the territory in the past 14 days prior to their appointment will be seen.  Only after you have completed your self-isolation will you be able to get an appointment.

Only EMT payments will be accepted, and transfer email must be received prior to your appointment. If you do not show up for your appointment, there will be no refund.  If you have to change your appointment time, we ask that you message us at least half a day prior to your appointment.

For weddings, we will be performing ONLY OUTDOOR ceremonies, and for groups of 10 or less.  If you are planning on having a larger ceremony, please ensure that you are following the orders as set out by the Office of the Chief Public Health Officer.  Currently the maximum amount of people at an outdoor event is set at 50 people with physical distancing in place and no shared food.  For indoor, individuals may only be of your household with 5 additional individuals for a maximum of 10 people.  If your household is less than 5 you are still only permitted to have a maximum of 5 guests outwith your household number.

Thank you for your understanding during this time.

If you have any questions at all you can either contact us through our website or email us at letmeknot@gmail.com

We have changed!

As of November 4th, 2019 Let me Knot no longer takes every day flower orders. I will still be available to provide a full service for the following:

- Weddings & Events;
- Workshops; and
- Flowers for Special holidays (e.g. Christmas/Valentine/Mother's Day: Pre-Orders ONLY for these occasions)

I understand for many of my regular customers that this will come as shock, and perhaps a disappointment. So I'd just like to share why I took this step.

Opening Let me Knot was a dream of mine since I first began working at Flowers by Manuela and I started this business with the goal of raising the bar and changing the way flowers are done in Yellowknife with the highest standard of customer service and a personal touch unique to each customer.

I am proud of Let me Knot’s achievements in this short space of time. My business has grown substantially and as residents of Yellowknife and other Northern communities you have responded in turn by letting me be a part of your most intimate, happiest, and life defining moments.

However as with all adventures, including professional ones, there comes a time when another path comes along that makes you just as excited as the ones that brought you there.

At the close of the last NWT election period, a new suite of MLAs were voted into the Legislative Assembly, with our new assembly having the highest representation of women in Canada. I have been offered, and accepted, the opportunity to help one of Yellowknife’s new female MLA’s, Caroline Wawzonek, MLA for Yellowknife South, as her Constituency Assistant. I have known Caroline for some time now, I know how hard she wants to work for the NWT, and I am not ashamed to say that she is someone I admire greatly. I would not be making this choice if I didn’t believe in her.

Remember, Let me Knot is not leaving the business community, it’s merely changing.
